Shp Graphite Electrode for Steelmaking S: 0.05 Gray Color Application

Description:

Our premium graphite electrodes are crafted using domestic petroleum coke, pitch coke, and superior Japanese needle coke. The HP grade contains 30% imported needle coke, while the UHP grade boasts over 80%. These electrodes are integral to electric arc furnaces (EAF) and ladle furnaces (LF) in producing alloy steel, as well as various metal and nonmetallic materials. Renowned for their low resistance, exceptional electrical and thermal conductivity, superior oxidation resistance, remarkable thermal shock tolerance, and robust mechanical strength, these electrodes are a powerhouse in industrial applications.

Applications of Graphite Electrode UHP

Graphite electrode uhp can be widely used in electric arc furnace and ladle refining furnace for steelmaking. uhp graphite electrodes can be widely used in the electric smelting furnace for producing the ferroalloy, pure silicon, yellow phosphorus, copper matte, calcium carbide and so on.

Characteristics Of Graphite electrodes:

1. Excellent Thermal Conductivity Graphite boasts exceptional thermal conductivity, far superior to most metals. It can efficiently transfer heat and maintain stable thermal performance even in extreme temperature environments (from ultra-low to high temperatures above 3000℃). This advantage makes it an ideal material for heat dissipation components, high-temperature furnaces, and thermal management systems in electronics, metallurgy, and aerospace industries.

2. High Temperature Resistance With an extremely high melting point (around 3652℃) and boiling point (4827℃), graphite can maintain its structural integrity and mechanical properties without melting or decomposing under high-temperature conditions. It is resistant to thermal shock and can withstand rapid temperature changes, which is crucial for applications in high-temperature smelting, aerospace engine parts, and high-temperature experimental equipment.

3. Good Electrical Conductivity As a good electrical conductor, graphite has low electrical resistivity and excellent current-carrying capacity. It is widely used in the production of electrodes, brushes, conductive plates, and other electrical components.

4. Outstanding Chemical Stability Graphite is chemically inert and not easy to react with most acids, alkalis, and organic solvents.

5. Excellent Lubrication Performance Graphite has a layered crystal structure, and the layers can slide easily, providing excellent self-lubricating performance. It can work stably without additional lubricants, even under high load, high temperature, and high speed. This advantage makes it an ideal lubricating material for mechanical parts, molds, and sliding components, reducing friction and wear and improving equipment operation efficiency.

6. Light Weight and High Strength Compared with traditional metal materials, graphite products are lighter in weight while maintaining high mechanical strength and hardness.
